GET TO KNOW US.
CCA believes that God has given parents the primary responsibility for educating their children. Therefore, we commit to come alongside the parents in this endeavor. Our curriculum and teaching methods are drawn from the Bible’s concept of training children in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. This method is designed specifically to produce students who are well-equipped in the knowledge and the skills necessary to live effectively in our world.
Objectives:
Acknowledging Christ and His Word as key to everything that is taught at CCA, our primary objectives are:
(1) to provide a Christian learning environment to teach children the love of Christ and the truth of His Word,
(2) to instill strong academic standards that will prepare them to succeed in their future, and
(3) to be an outreach arm of the Church, reaching and strengthening children and their families with the gospel of Christ.
We desire that our students strive for excellence in all they do. We will offer each student opportunities to discover and develop their potential in every aspect of their life. This is done by development of each student’s person through goals, priorities, and practices that foster spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and intellectual well-being.
Accreditation & Curriculum:
Calvary Christian Academy is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools. We use a combination of the Abeka and Bob Jones University curriculum combined with Montessori teaching concepts. Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. We offer a strong basis in language arts, math, science, and Bible, underscoring the fundamentals of each subject and the logic of how each subject relates to and are expressed through life. Additionally, students are introduced to music, art, and Spanish.
The curriculum and methods we use, allow us to promote a biblical philosophy of education that connects the teaching of all subject matter with a framework that will cause students to understand the God-given meaning of their life and every lesson studied. The goal of the education path and curriculum is to develop children who make creative choices with critical thinking that is in accordance to God’s Word.
